How do you feel about cold weather?

Hello my friend, hi 👋

What a day today has been, I woke up with my eyes opening, wider and then, I can say hand on heart I had my eyes wide open. Seriously it was amazing, Then I said to myself ‘What a wonderful world’. I asked the device that’s always listen (no not Sir Starmer Llamas army) to ‘Turn the Radio on’ .

One final check in the mirror before starting my day I heard ‘Nellie the Elephant 🐘 packed her trunk’, playing on the radio and smiling to myself I went to make a coffee.

I was ‘Walking on Sunshine’ or rather sitting on the stairlift and gliding on sunshine streaming through the window.

Oops forgot about the reason I came here to write to you and chat, well I saw this little prompt or question whatever you wish to call it, interesting was my second thought, my first being another cup of coffee.

So how do I feel about cold weather ? Well several things to be fair, I am not an Eskimo nor am I an Amazonian Warrior Women .

I do not like cold because my legs ache, my muscles cramp, and my internal thermostat seem have to broken. So my feet are always cold and look slightly blue.

On the other hand I am not happy with heat either as again I cannot control my internal temperature

So conclusion;

I am not an Eskimo, neither do I ever or have I ever fancied holidaying in colder corners of the globe. So therefore I am not a fan of the cold, freezing, or frozen, re the cold, what’s the point all I do is wrap up and get the blankets out, until it warms a little. I’m rather lucky as here in the UK 🇬🇧 we don’t suffer to much with extremes in temperatures but we suffer with not being able to afford to heat our homes. That though is another story and not a fairy story either, one full of wicked lies and robbing greedy people, demons and wizards 😂😂

Actually I think if I was told I had to live in colder climates I would go live in a bear den and hibernate till the sun shone and the ground warmed again.

Leader or Follower?

Are you a leader or a follower?

The answer to the question is so simple I am both a leader and a follower.

I can take the lead when needed and have done on many times, being Mum, a Boss, Company Representative for a major company handling many contracts.

Then I also know how to take be directions and follow, be a follower.

We all are followers of one sort or another it just depends on how you define ‘follower’. You may be a follower of fashion, the latest music trend or stars. A follower of faith. You may prefer to follow with the team and be a part of the team, not wanting to be the one giving instructions, not wanting the responsibility.

Or as in my case you can happily do the both, sometimes at the same time, and at other times in different ages in life.

Now this is an awful attempt at a rhyme and I could have written something so much more eloquent, BUT this man, this Llama ok I know his name is Starmer but to me he is a woolly headed arrogant creature that promises one thing then spits in your face. Go on say it but Llamas can’t promise, well they do, they look so innocent so they give the vibe of a promise. Back to my crap rhyme, I did it like that because I did not want to loose my cool so made it as short as I could, like I wish his term was in 10 Downing Street.

I have to add this politically I normally am quite chilled but I have survived some scrapes in life, I always say I am a survivor but when the news is pounding with it’s costing our country over £8 million per day just to house incoming illegals (I don’t do political talk at the end of the day a spade is a spade) that cost is rising with the amount that are coming here.

Now I have had to have my income stopped to be put on a separate benefit which will in effect lower my income over a period of time. I don’t go on holiday, I don’t have takeaways and 5 days a week I have 1 meal a day then 2 days I have 2 meals it’s all about cost . Now the change over of money means no money for between 5 and 8 weeks this is Starmers Britain. I know there are worse off and some just like me, I also know that people will say he inherited a broken Britain but Conservatives inherited the same broken Britain from The great and glorious Tony Blair.

Maybe I should sit on the beach with some brown shoe polish and a pair of water wings (I am not a racist but this man is actually turning this country into racists) back to the beach 🏖️ with my luck someone would call greenpeace and i would be pushed back into the water mistaken as a beached whale 🐳.with the boot polish they would say Orca.

That’s it I can feel me marching as if to war so it’s down keyboard and watch tv or something less taxing 😉

I have been absent, for that please accept my apologies and let us move forward in life.

This looks like a fun exercise list five things I do for fun !! !! !! !! !! !! !! – maybe it was a little more difficult than I thought. In my pre less-abled diva days I would have listed 5 and 5 more just for fun. Now I just do things to get through the day.

Oh no you don’t, this is no pity party, this is my brain trying to kickstart its dusty motor a little .

Here we go

I write, it’s therapeutic for me, don’t care if it never gets read I am happy with it. I find my mind whirling and ideas flash, next I am away in a story and calm as can be.

What is your mission?

Hello my friend

How are you today?

To be asked what is my mission? I am assuming it means my purpose in life, my reason for being, my calling in life.

Well after great thought and a deep soul searching which took an awful long time, I think I have an answer.

So it took me thirty seconds and the answer was there, my mission in life is to make people SMILE

I haven’t been doing a very good job recently as I seem to have lost my way a little but this question was like a push back into line to resume spreading smiles for they travel many miles .

One of my many poems about smiling and smiles, my problem was I listened to those that dislike me and his my work away, but I have since found that some of my poems have been used from nursery schools to abuse centres to help some people and make others smile.

So now I shall continue my mission.

Smile my friend it could be the best thing you could pass to an another person and it gives your face a workout.

Now I am going to be slightly pedantic with this. I live in the UK 🇬🇧 we don’t have freeways we have motorways. I just like to point little differences out mostly because I can.

Now a billboard advertises something be it a product or event, as I am neither that I am aware of ( 🤔 ) that would leave me at an odds.

Ah I Remember

What makes you feel nostalgic?

Hello again

Yes I’m back, I didn’t go far, you must have known I wouldn’t just leave without saying a final Bon voyage.

Anyway as I was strolling through this day, metaphorically that is, it struck me that New Years Eve has never held big plans for me. I may have been out a few times (counted on one hand) but that is it, it is not a special night for me, so here I am sat thinking about the year that is ending and all the years prior.

I have music playing I raise a silent glass to 2024’ a year that I am pleased to see end and realise that it’s music that makes me nostalgic. Music invokes memories from places , people, occasions, happy and sad.

So that explains why music plays so heavily on my mood with the happy and sad emotions even laughter.

Just between us because after all we are friends, another thing that pulls my heartstrings on the nostalgia scale is a scruffy grubby almost threadbare Rabbit, he has been my companion since I was born and he sits in my room away from grandchildren, He is an old bunny now at 58 (delicate) he makes me think of all the tears and secrets he holds from my life. I wouldn’t share this with just anyone, but we are friends now don’t you think.

I looked at today’s writing prompt and my eyes lit up, how do I know? The room shone bright, just like the UK did the year I was born.

When people say oh they broke the mould with that one, well whatever magic was around the year I was born, has not returned to these shores since. I find it funny there have been times when I have been asked what year was I born and I just say I will give you a clue. Wow straight away, they have it, usually admittedly they are British.

Ok the year I was born will go down in history as the year England won the World Cup 🏆.

I don’t need to list songs or prime ministers or any of the other random newsworthy items because firstly;

A Grocery List !!!

List your top 5 grocery store items.

Hello I’m here again,

How are you, what have you been up to?

Couldn’t resist this writing prompt with top grocery items, it’s a good job I wasn’t asked for the top five this time of year as it would have been chocolates, sprouts, parsnips chocolates and mince pies 🥧🤭

My top 5 grocery items are

Semi-skimmed milk, my stomach has trouble with full cream milk causing IBS and at times causing a diverticulitis session attack 🥛
Bread thick sliced, best for toasting. Brown or white not bothered, as I have trouble slicing anything except myself I do tend to buy pre-sliced. 🥪
Coffee, particular on my brand and strength. So I do buy in bulk when on offer, yes I know coffee snob. ☕️
Rice Krispies/cereal, I like to buy the same breakfast cereal most of the year, maybe swapping a couple of times a year that’s all. 🥣
Toilet Roll, well honesty is the best policy and my grocery list includes everything I need for the home and myself, can’t leave the bum cleaning kit out 🤭 🧻

What was your favorite subject in school?

Dear Friends, how are you? It is important to be aware of your own wellbeing in this modern age. Too easily we can be dragged down, our mental health impacted by our colleagues, environment, health and much more. So do always take care of yourselves, please remember what you do today in time becomes the past, treat yourself kindly.

Which leads me to my favourite subject in school

History, all aspects of history because this is the story of us, our planet and what we have done to it. History encompasses English Maths, scientific research, geography and at times an understanding of languages can help.

For me I am just fascinated by days of old , dreaming of time travel going back 50yrs a jump just to see how time changes one area, not to meet or anything but observe. That is how I imagined learning to Beal C
