Money, Money Everywhere But What About My Health

List three jobs you’d consider pursuing if money didn’t matter.

My Dearest Friend(s)

One must apologise for one’s absence, I realise no one noticed, but it is indeed good manners to pass on one’s sincerity’s. Hey for one moment I actually sounded rather 19th century posh, how tiresome.

Well back to the prompt of the day, of course money is an issue in most dream jobs, but I am hindered by mobility so for the sake of a fair playing field for one day and one day only Kim is going to be (drum role please) NOT HINDERED BY CRUTCHES OR WHEELCHAIR

1/ I would like to own and run a mega fancy dress shop that hires and sells quality Reasonably priced fun wear for all ages, within that shop their will be a seamstress or two and we will cater for parties , weddings i.e medieval themed occasions. Even tv in the area , stage anything . It would be the party warehouse central. Even throwing it’s own events monthly over the region. Children’s parties 🎉 not a problem our vehicles would be kitted out with everything needed . Good old days of the party bus well there would be a venue of party buses Hows that for job number one

2/ I have always wanted my own crafting workshop set up for ease of access, not even saying I want equipment, I would use what I have and I would like the workshop to have a shop/display front so that I have a place to display my work and part of the studio frontage can be hired by starting artists to give them a step up so the public can see and enjoy and hopefully buy our creations

3/ A book shop combined coffee shop combining two passions in one, my love of books, and coffee with a snack of course. Not so much a new book shop but a second chance book shop, pre loved books waiting to be read again. Actually if someone came in and bought coffee and cake and sat in the comfy chairs with a book that would be ok with me . Because this would be perfect. Let the troubles slip away at Kim’s cozy cafe & book nook. This place would be serving the community in many ways, nothing to do but don’t want to sit alone, come sit and have a hot chocolate in the coffee shop, join the book club well one of them . Kids area with a reader and to be honest what’s better than comfy chairs a coffee and a book. Or keeping warm and having a natter with Maureen and her neighbour Paula. So much you can do for people if you just want help

My three ideal jobs if money and health were not a problem

Always Walk On The Bright Side Of Life

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Dear Friends

In the 57 year I have been on this earth I have probably been given much advice, more than I can possibly remember. Some has been very inspirational, some practical. And some, well, definitely not the best but probably the most comical advice, for example and no explanations given look it up or ask a friend if you don’t understand

Remember only chickens produce anything good sat on their backsides (farming background)

Don’t eat yellow snow ⛄️

Don’t back racehorses.

Silence is golden, till you have kids, then it’s, what the heck are they up to now

Now many people will wonder why I have put those in , simply because there will be so many of the normal live laugh love, living wholesome lives, be happy etc all I could think of was the comical things. Those are the ones that have got me through life,

There is nothing amazing that stands out in my mind, the only thing I would pass to anyone else is

Follow your path your dreams, live your life, walk your journey. Don’t let anyone stop you from being YOU.

Keep Smiling

“If music be the food of love, play on.” – William Shakespeare

What would your life be like without music?

Hello My Friends

That for me is a difficult question, although I love music 🎶 I listened mostly when driving, so when my health deteriorated and I could no longer drive, I seemed to stop listening to music so much.

I live in a world of almost silence, I would say 95% of my life is silence 🤐. I don’t like it but it is a coping mechanism for me. On a good day music is on and an out of tune, once alto voice now more a harpy can be heard warbling all the right words. Only they sound wrong because the singers get the lyrics back to front all the time. Amateurs!

Those days are few and far between, not me getting the words right and everyone else singing some other rubbish that happens all the time 😂 but music, radio even tv can stop the sound of silence. Unless you suffer the same way it is difficult to understand.

So for the days when I close my eyes and my mind waltzes me of to Strauss’s, Blue Danube or I’m in the mood for a little,

Come on Eileen by Dexteys Midnight Runners, a little

Miley, or even dad

Billy-Ray,

Bob Marley,

Johnny Cash.

The list could go on for a very long time but that’s not what this is about, for those moments that throw me back to happier times, a world without music 🎼 would turn this dark place in which I live, into a black abyss. Never to have hope of seeing the light again, never to feel the sun on my face. That is what life would be like taking away that final bit of joy left that I have.

Keep the sun shining

Keep the Music 🎶 Playing

Keep your smile’s beaming

The Lesson I Learned

Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.

Dear Friends

There are so many lessons I have learned in life that I wish I had known earlier it might have stopped a lot of heartache and pain.

But when carefully thinking about this question if I had some of the answers I have now at a younger age , that would have put me on a completely different path in life. Wiping away my children and grandchildren.

So I have no lessons I would wish to send back to a younger me, it’s been an uphill struggle. Sometimes I have sat and cried that I can’t continue through the heartache and pain Yet I made it to this day, there has been no answers given, just the ones I have worked hard to find, I truly think this makes me a better person for having done this on my own.

I have empathy for people from many walks of life because I have walked some pretty scary, painful paths.. hence why I had to learn for myself to become a healer.

So no I am not sharing a lesson that I wish I had learned earlier because we learn things at the appropriate times so that we understand them properly in context with the circumstances

After all Life is all about Lessons, we may not like it, but that is what it is. Learning does not stop when you leave school, you continue to learn all your life.

Take Me To Your Leader

Do you see yourself as a leader?

Dear Friends

Well here I am again full of my inane chatter and useless but useful thoughts. When you have digested that little bit of nonsense we shall continue into the mind of me. 🧐

Now do I see myself as a leader? 😂 the emoji says it all, I have worn many caps so far in life.

I was no leader at school. I was loner or a follower depending on the age I was at, never unpopular but never quite making the popular list. Middle of the road

On becoming a Mother of eventually 6 children, that is not a leadership role either. That was the role of a wolf guiding her pack from the rear. Making sure no one was left behind. Teaching, coaxing, at times learning myself, playing, guiding, encouraging and loving them but never being a leader.

In my work roles I have had positions of authority and have owned my own company but have never seen myself as a leader just someone who has a job to do like everyone else has there own job to do. I always thought people respond better to someone who is prepared to work alongside not lead from the front.

I think I am an enabler not a leader

Have a lovely weekend

Keep Smiling , Kim 😎

Words Words Words

What’s your favorite word?

Words are mighty, words are fine.

Use them wisely from your lips and mine.

Dear friends,

I hope this note finds you as well as can be expected and happier than before and if not don’t fret concentrate on what will make things better.

Now my word is, well I can’t have an odd number so

1. Buttercup. xx it is a cheerful Word that I seem to use in so many situations , my favourite saying with this word is

“What’s up Buttercup”

2. Gumption love love love this word, my dad was an old school gent and some of the words he used were wonderful, this is one, a very old English but traced back to Scottish roots as far back as 1700 I believe, but I could stand to be corrected.

Dad said I had the gumption to get on in life, even if I had to be corrected, it wouldn’t phase me. To a degree he was correct but it’s taken many years to reach that point.

Because words are so very important, to even narrow it down to two was very difficult for me

Sending Smiles to all

Kim

What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?

Well what a day, first I forgot my phone then I forgot the time, then I forgot to shut my bedroom door and my sons Alsatian forgot she is not allowed to pull my clothes onto the floor to make a bed or use my hair accessories for chew toys, it has been a day to forget for sure. Well unless a rather large Alsatian trying my bralette top on failing and taking it to my son who at 32 is ‘ewwww nooo that is mothers’ guess that is kinda funny. Leads nicely to –

What do I/should I carry with me at all times well a brain would be helpful. Or memory that works in that brain maybe mine needs a de-frag.

Not going to come out with phone , smartphone or any kind of mobile device where you can be contacted anytime anyplace anywhere, even the bathroom is no longer private. Saying that if you have young children that stopped being private when you had the little darlings 🐥

We lived just nicely and with less stress before we had that irritation playing melodies pure and true (thanks three little birds for your words)

The are many import things to carry with you at all times each person has different priorities, I think mine would be a choice one or all of the following

1. Sanity

2. Empathy

3. Kindness

4. Guarded (my walls are thicker than any vault) it’s taken me a long time to get this far, so I can’t go leaving any doors unlocked, after all when the cats away the dam mice 🐁 will play and drive you round the bend

5. Humour

6. A Smile

By yours truly 2014 approx I believe I went through rewriting this to the point I thought STOP ✋🏼. Leave well alone it’s fine and it makes it’s point

Keep Smiling 😊 second best thing you can do with your lips 👄. The first is ……. Eat Cake 🍰

Oh no the dog has had my new shoes 👠 I have rescued one but the other so far is assumed MIA (for people like me missing in action) I haven’t worn them yet 😞🥺😜🙃😄 Life is to short to stay angry all I can say is those shoes weren’t made for walking

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” — E. E. Cummings

Selfless Acts are Quiet Acts

Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.

I think the biggest and probably the best Random Act of Kindness I have ever done is letting wild animals back into the environment in which they are safe. I don’t think wild animals should be caged so at the appropriate time I have released 3 back to there native surroundings, yes I divorced all 3 of my husbands. Now that is definitely a Huge Random act of Kindness oops got the wrong end of the stick, you mean what have I done for others not myself .😂 was going to say sorry but oh boy no I am not sorry for letting them go, kindest thing I ever did for myself

“Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” – Mark Twain

A Random Act of Kindness in my mind is not something you go around shouting loudly about

“Hey anyone listening I paid for someone’s meal in a restaurant today, My friend did the same last month,”. Look at us we are really good people #socialmedia insta fb and all that jazz

It is something that is done with discretion and nothing said about it. Never done for a thank you or an OMG you are wonderful. Yes my best friend and I would go to town or to a random town and give out envelopes containing £5 or £10, usually about 3 each to just anyone who looked like they needed a smile. We have paid for random strangers meal in a full in restaurants as we were leaving (quite funny as you look at people’s faces as they are told and they look around as if there are cameras on them) but that is just something that puts a smile on someone else’s face and leaves us feeling happy. I haven’t done much more than that because I don’t have much more to give but when I do I will start again

You can never know the ripple effect you create with one tiny gesture of kindness.” – Elle Sommer
