Oh Me Oh My

What do you enjoy most about writing?

What do I enjoy most about writing for me it’s like breathing fresh country air, its invigorating and gives me a reason explore the depths of my mind and memory.

When that becomes to much, too heavy that my tears flow, I simply change to let my imagination soar to my castle in the sky. This is where my pen flows with golden ink and tales tall of lands yet to be imagined.

Without my writing I would be lost it is my own form of therapy, I can calm myself down and sort problems out just by writing, or I can write about what has been and gone, people I have met places I have visited, happy or sad memories.

Every time I sit with my pen and book I am transported to another place, time or my castle in the sky to explore new ideas 💡 it is my favourite way to spend my time.

My castle in the clouds

The only drawback is I have so many journals of writing, some transferred to the pc 🖥️ re written, spellchecked, re worked, altered, I am running out of shelves for my scribbling that are to precious to me to be sent to the recycling and worthless to anyone else.

Oh and the hard drives are slowly mounting up as well.

“Just write every day of your life. Read intensely. Then see what happens. Most of my friends who are put on that diet have very pleasant careers.”

Pen, Paper,Imagination & Voila

What brings you peace?

Years ago when knights were bold, and ladies knew how to behave, my children would ask “Mum what do you want for a present 🎁 “ my response never wavered “A cup of peace & a slice of quiet please” I never got it.

Now they have grown and flown away, waiting for one to re-fly as I swear he has a homing pigeon device built into him somewhere. I found myself still searching for this peace thing. Now I have discover a piece of cake, now I point out I do know cake is sold by the slice, but me I say I’ll have a piece of that and a piece of that and oops 🙊 off topic…

Anyway I love my books reading gives me time to chill so that is peace I lose myself in the book and characters and it all plays out in my mind as I am reading, providing me with a mini theatre 🎭 of my imagination 💭 whilst lost in the words of the book. Giving more thought to it I have always loved my books ever since I was a child the only time I felt truly happy was with my books around me. Now I have at least 15 bookcases filled with books on most subjects because it makes me feel good, safe, and at peace with myself

The one other thing I do that brings me peace is I write, because it releases a lot of tension, makes my wrist ache though. What do I write asked no one writing a book, poetry loads of topics, have had poetry published in USA. Just incase anyone wanted too know or not.

So that is my peace, books and writing , somewhere only I know high amongst the clouds my imagination and my ability to see the unseeable. To disappear into my thoughts and be totally happy because the world outside of the cocoon I have built around my little fantasy world is free of all earthly issues.

Part of my small collection of books 📚

Wow This is Me ☕️&📚& More

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

Often thought if, what, where, when I ever had the resources to open a shop, should I, could I, would I chose to have a coffee stop book store an upmarket boho chic style selling mostly secondhand books, good coffee and in-store baked cakes 🍰, then to add to revenue later in the day and early evening a kind of open floor event for local artists to sing 🎶 read their own poetry and maybe play guitar. Tables and chairs would be comfy but practical to keep clean making it look inviting. A place to call by and browse and forget the time.

Like any self respecting entrepreneur there is always going to be another room that can be used and rented out for art showings or book reviews, even a place to sell my crystals and stones from. Somewhere that attracts the arts and crafts the everyday people that get passed by. Could bring back the wine and cheese night or even hire out for the perfect teaching room . Perfect for art it’s to paint and show their work at the same time so the public can see what they do

It would be a Poetic Palace for Book Lovers to meet and chat, and join one of the book clubs that we have

Cake connoisseurs to enjoy and share recipes – all our recipes available daily

Artistic amateurs sharing and growing- they can choose before if they want to pay for the room or pay percent of what they sell

Spiritual Seekers calming vibes amongst the crystals and stones daily cleansed – the room that is , because of retaining energy. Always a calm presence in this area always greeted with a smile . I guess even a spiritual evening would be a crowd pleaser

The idea behind it is doesn’t cost much to set up as the books are donated , bought from online and free sites so you have profit and the coffee shop is a basic coffee and tea not a skinny latte or expresso it’s called be real, costs kept lower then you sell more. Still use good quality but without all that fancy equipment. Yes a lot of licences and certifications to get but it is a dream a wish, but a good one

Ok a bit vintage but still has appeal

Ohhhh Passionate

What are you passionate about?

Oh dear now asking someone what they are passionate about is like opening a box of chocolates, you don’t know what you are going to get till you dig in a taste a few. I am passionate about writing and art, well that’s just half the truth I am passionate about most art and crafts, creating is a healing process for me. Writing is an escape , I can lose myself in my poems and scribbles and join magical realms of unicorns and castles . Or re live memories cataloguing domestic violence and it’s trauma. How to survive and grow. My passions are very much based on cathartic healing, releasing and creating allowing my mind to heal one day to be free of trauma
