Why waste time on boredom?

What bores you?

Well Hello my friend,

Do you have a minute or two just so that we can chat?

So gracious of you, pull up that crate and let’s have a look at this writing prompt. Now today they are asking what bores me, well I want to laugh and then chuckle, because when is there time to be bored?

From the moment I open my eyes till the time I fall asleep, there is no time for boredom in my world.

This morning for instance I was woken by the rhythm of the pouring rain. I listened for a while before getting up thinking how just possibly in a few short months the country could be calling drought, all that water power wasted, my mind boggled.

I can watch tv for an hour, then read a book for longer, knit, sew, write, do some craft work. All the while I use crutches and wheelchair and can’t get out and about so much now, I can never honestly say I’m bored . I take photos, I love using the PC and playing games on my phone . When I am able I like to cook.

How can I be bored with so much to do, so many things to see and wow the things I still need to learn. Every day I try to learn something new, because life is short, and time is precious…I am never bored .

Slightly 😡 annoyed

Tired 🥱

Angry 😤

Sad 😞 or happy 😆,

laughing 😝

But Never ever BORED, boredom is for those that lack imagination, drive and a sense of humour..

How can she say that? Yes you sir in the back there, it’s like this, if you find the company you are in boring, maybe it’s not them it’s you who are the boring one. Did you ever think of it that way? No? Well try people watching in the group and have some fun with who will speak next why is she always tugging her ear. Become an expert on human interaction. Way too many ways to enjoy life.

Life is anything but boring

Got to go things to do

Bye bye my friend

Happy Shiny People are my type

Who are your favorite people to be around?

Hello my friend

Can I just say the title they don’t have to be shiny because that might be strange almost alien 👽 like, so stick to what is written BeLoW.

Let’s get straight into it today, the prompt that is. Who are my favourite people to be around? Simple, happy 😃, optimistic, people with enough intelligence to hold a conversation, people that have empathy and are kind, but have that witty spark ⚡️. People who suddenly burst into a one line of a song because maybe a word has reminded them of the song 🎶 or a colour or anything. The sort of people who you wouldn’t put together as a group, but that’s the best group, age, colour, creed nor gender matter when you have happiness in your heart you just radiate sunshine that spreads to everyone around you

My tagline is Kim-Louise, Spreading Smiles. I have used that for many years, partly because happy people make better choices in life. So smile and share some of that glow

Best Gift or Greatest Gift

Share one of the best gifts you’ve ever received.

Hello my Friends

I think I have been writing long enough to go from calling you a reader to a friend, after all we share our thoughts and lives with each other.

I read the prompt several times and decided that by the use of the word best and gift puts a huge difference on the answer. I was going to answer along the lines of greatest gift but that would have changed the prompt completely. So that is one to bore you another day 🤭.

Best” is the more general term; it's the highest degree of anything positive. “Greatest” is more apt when we want to indicate size, distinction or renown. “Greatest” may be an overstatement when applied to everyday things.22 Mar 2016

My Best Gift Ever was when I was about 7 or 8 looking back I can still feel the magic in the air. It was Christmas Eve and I found a letter off Santa in my sack. Your main present is in the pantry ho ho ho. Merry Christmas love Santa x

I rushed out to the pantry there was this bike with a bell 🛎️ for me, my first 🚲 bicycle . Now I can tell you it was an old third bike that my step dad had lovingly cleaned and polished that old bike and sprinkled it with care. Nothing in life has made me as happy as this gift did. It wasn’t because we couldn’t afford new, it was because he knew this bike would be scraped and marked. Around the farm it would be filthy. He seemed to know it was part of a bigger plan ,

All these yrs later approaching 50 to be honest I think about that gift, it really was the Best Gift I have ever received, given to me by the Greatest Gift I was lucky enough to have in my life My Step Father. See that’s the difference between Best and Greatest…….

Till we meet again

Did you say Budgie?🤭

Write about your approach to budgeting.

Hello Dear Reader,

At times in the past I feel my approach to budgeting has been like many countries around the world. I start with an income, expect that income to then stretch beyond any realistic total. When the figures don’t add up blame the world economy and the ozone layer.

Now I have took my head out the sand and actually written out my income (when I found it), outgoings (I must be paying for me and the entire street) cancelled a few non essential items that were frivolous (ok I have re-added food).

I then took A (income) minus B (outgoings) ‘

Result = negative equity

Ok then I shave more of the outgoings and wow on paper it balances.

Then I try to live for the month according to the number that is the BUDGET.

So far I have been trying to stay within the boundaries of the page this month. But it has not been easy, I don’t think there has ever been a time that I have not worried about money and bills.

Now I am older I find myself in the horrible situation of being disabled and unable to work, so my only money is benefits. This means that children are now adults, and I really do have to live within those numbers on that page. No holidays, well there hasn’t been for a long time , trying to redecorate my home on a shoestring, cause the Budget dictates so. Having to get a gardener in not a luxury but a necessity, eats into my budget.

I have to say I detest the word BUDGET .

I am going to claim I run my home like the UK parliament runs the UK, in deficit

I need lessons from British Gas as the reports state British Gas has announced its profits for 2023 increased 10-fold to £750m see they can budget, hey some of that is my money.

Anyway don’t do as I do stick to whatever works for you and if you haven’t found it yet, search the internet for a plethora of ideas

Many Smiles sent to you

The Best Gift 🎁

What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

Dear Friend

When asked what is the greatest gift someone could give me, I have to answer from a place deep inside of myself I was unaware existed ;

I am not in need of anything thank you.

Material goods I am used to providing for myself, I need nothing and for that I am very lucky. I have sorted needs from wants at it certainly frees your mind.

I have done the, all I want is love and trust and it’s blown up in my face as it is unwrapped ..

If I have to give an answer it would be Time the greatest gift on earth.

There is one drawback with this request no one can add more time to your life but is that what I was asking?

No I am asking for someone to spend some Time with me.

The only issue being I have no special someone to spend that Time with me !

Take care

Kim Louise

Relationship ;noun

What relationships have a positive impact on you?

Dearest Reader

I do hope you are well?

Relationship. ;noun

  1. the way in which two or more people or things are connected, or the state of being connected.”the study will assess the relationship between unemployment and political attitudes”

When asked what relationships have had a positive impact on me, I almost passed it by but sometimes a little soul searching is good for us all. Or maybe the word I should use is cathartic.

My stepfather has had the biggest impact on my life relationship wise, now please remember we are talking pop positive vibes only, here they are

1. Stepdad he bought me up,taught me respect and values and bought God into my life. it broke me when he died a year ago.

2. Current Partner has shown me that love is real and will do anything to make me feel safe, he makes the traumas of my past disappear.

3. Carer this lady has been with me 12+ years she is amazing. It is good to have someone who knows me so well, that if needed can anticipate my every move when I’m poorly . As a bonus she has become my best friend as time has passed. Life would be so dull without her

These are the relationships that have defined me in a positive way,

We are so nearly at the of end another year , I wish you a Happy New Year 🥳

I hope you all have a pleasant day and hopefully communicate again

Remember

Perfect, just what is perfect?

You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?

Dear Readers,

This prompt that has landed today is a conundrum indeed. I always had in mind my perfect writing space, it would be like an old fashioned study. Wall to wall books a large desk, leather topped, with a cosy reading chair in the corner by a fire . My desk would overlook the countryside (being brought up on a farm that seemed feasible when my ideas started) or even over a garden.

Time eroded those ideas of perfect. I have my mini library 📚 approx 1500 books and I have my leather topped desk. But what I forgot to add was peace, the kind where your brain is not frazzled, where you can relax and let your mind unfold and your stories flow. What I have learnt is there is no perfect place to be creative with your pen or laptop. Creativity is in your mind and that means in truth a perfect space can be a battered briefcase or a satchel even an over large handbag store your essentials in that and creative brain can and will travel.

I can snuggle in my chair, lie on my bed, go sit by a pool or have a coffee at a cafe all are places I can sit and read.

My dear readers how can you experience perfect when there is a world of chaos to experience, be a part of that world and find a nook or ledge and there you have your canvas start writing

I can guarantee that as soon as you achieve your perfect anything thought or otherwise, human nature is to keep tweaking it, changing because we are never happy . So as I said I no longer look for perfect ideas I take what I see and make it suit me.

Till the next time

Kim-Louise

I can read anywhere 🤭🤭

I give you my time – Will you give me yours?

Who do you spend the most time with?

I spend most of my time with myself, who until recently I actually didnt like very much. Then it’s a close call between my rather bad tempered, big on attitude rescue Pug who has suddenly become a senior at the age of 7, I am told this happens. So I guess he is now a grumpy old man. Very close on time spent with me is my son’s German Shepherd Puppy. Who can stand over the top of Frank the Pug and not touch his head, she is 6 months old. Have done all the house training, for the puppy my son is still learning. She has just started to behave a little better, after months of unholy words being uttered and being driven mad

Please be aware no animal was hurt in the course of living with me, my 31yr old son, yes well that’s a different story, I may dream of many ways to deal with bratty adult children but I couldn’t if I tried. He is 6ft3in and quick I am 5ft4 and disabled and slow,

I don’t spend much time with my son we clash, so if I had to pick a human it would be my carer Claire she is the only other person I spend a quantity of time with 24 hrs a week to be precise, and together we just laugh our way through everything. She is my best friend/carer/partner-in-mischief and keeper of official secrets. I mean we all need a Claire in our lives.
